Understanding Work Patterns

Work patterns are essential components within the HRLocker, designed to complement the functionalities of the Time On (timesheets) and Time Off (leave tracking) modules.

When you assign a work pattern in HRLocker, you're effectively informing the system about the designated working days and hours for any employee throughout the year.

  1. Timesheet Automation: By defining work patterns, HRLocker can automatically populate timesheets.

  2. Accurate Data Capture: Work patterns enable HRLocker to accurately capture timesheet data, even during periods when employees are on leave.

  3. Hourly Leave System Operation: Understanding the duration of each employee's working day is crucial for HRLocker's Hourly Leave system to function effectively.

Time On:

Admins and Time On managers can access employees' work patterns through the Work Pattern button on the employee's Time On page.

By default, Time On managers will have read-only access to the employee work pattern page. Admins can give Time On managers permission to edit employee work patterns by going into the manager permissions in the directory.

Directory:

Admins and Managers with directory permissions can access employees' work patterns through their directory page.

How are Work Patterns Assigned:

  • Company work patterns must be assigned to the employee's office before they are available for assignment to individual employees.
  • Once assigned to an employees office they are available to be assigned to the employee.
  • Start and end dates for work patterns can be set and adjusted as needed.
  • Future entries for work patterns can be created and assigned.
  • Adding a new shift pattern creates a new entry at the end of the list.
  • Ensure to submit changes after assigning each work pattern to save the modifications.

To change the start date of the new row, you need to edit the end date of the previous line.
