Minimum Specification for Android Tablet – HRLocker Compatibility

This document defines the minimum hardware and software specifications required for an Android tablet to be considered compatible with the HRLocker clockin application, particularly for use in time tracking, clock-in/clock-out workflows, and accessing HRLocker features on the go.

Minimum Specification Requirements

• Operating System: Android 12 or higher (must use a standard Android OS; highly modified versions such as Fire OS are not supported)
• Screen Size: Minimum 8 inches (diagonal)
• RAM: At least 2 GB
• Processor: Modern ARM-based processor (equivalent to Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series or better)
• Storage: At least 16 GB internal storage
• Display Resolution: Minimum 1280x800
• Connectivity: Wi-Fi required; optional LTE for mobile usage
• Google Services: Must support Google Play Services and access to the Google Play Store
• Form Factor: Tablet (not phone or hybrid/embedded devices)
• Battery Life: Minimum 6 hours of typical usage
• Build Quality: Should be from a reputable brand (e.g., Samsung, Lenovo, Nokia) for reliability and OS update support

Additional Notes

• Tablets must not run forked or vendor-locked versions of Android that restrict app installation or background services (e.g., Amazon Kindle Fire).
