Assigning Work Pattern Rotations

  • Access Assign Rotation Page:

    • Admins, Managers with Time On permission
      • access Work Pattern Rotations via the Work Pattern Rotations button on the Time On page


    • Admins, Managers with Directory permission 
      • access Work Pattern Rotations via the Work Pattern Rotations button in the employees Directory Settings.


  • Assignment:

    • Select the rotation you want to assign and click on the "Assign" button associated with it.

  • On the "Assign 'Name of Rotating Work Pattern'" page, you'll see a table displaying weeks and associated work patterns.
  • To assign the same start date to multiple employees
 
      • Use dropdown filters to filter employees by office, department, or team.
      • Tick the employees you would like to assign this start date to
      • Next to the Start date for employees button, select the date you would like the rotation to begin for these employees
        • Rotations start on a Monday
      • Click the Start date for selected employees button
      • All selected employees will now be assigned this start date for the rotation
      • click Save
  • To assign an individual employee a start date
 
      • Click the edit icon that corresponds to their name
      • Select the date you would like the rotation to begin for these employees
        • Rotations start on a Monday
      • Make sure that the employee has been selected and their checkbox is blue.
      • Click Save
A confirmation message will indicate successful assignment, and the rotation will be applied to the selected employees from the specified start date.

Note that if employees have already been assigned a start date and been saved, the Start date for selected employees button does not apply to them and their start date will need to be amended individually

  • Ensure that rotations are configured accurately, considering the specific scheduling requirements and preferences of your workforce.
  • Regularly review and update rotations as needed to accommodate changes in staffing or operational demands.
  • Communicate any schedule changes or rotation assignments effectively to employees to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Monitor rotation assignments periodically to identify any issues or conflicts and address them promptly.
