Diversity and Inclusion Monitoring for Northern Ireland in HRLocker

Under fair employment legislation, registered employers in Northern Ireland have a legal duty to monitor the composition of their workforce and of those applying to fill vacancies. The criteria are based on the size of the workforce. Generally, employers with 11 or more employees are subject to monitoring requirements.
Registered employers are also required to make an annual monitoring return to the
ECNI.
HRLocker provides Diversity and Inclusion Monitoring. This can be done when hiring applicants in Northern Ireland. When an applicant applies for a job in Northern Ireland, they are sent a Monitoring Form. It is up to the applicants discretion to fill this out.
HRLocker provides reports to track the information that is provided through these forms.
In HRLocker
To access Diversity and Equality Monitoring in HRLocker an Administrator must be selected to be a Monitoring Officer.
There can only be one Monitoring Officer. An admin can select another admin to be a Monitoring Officer.
If there is only one admin please contact HRLocker support to enable you to the Monitoring Officer.
To enable Diversity Monitoring in an office, an admin can go to Office settings-edit
Tick the box to enable Diversity Monitoring
If using Hire and you would like the Monitoring forms to be imported to the Onboarding office, make sure to enable Diversity Monitoring
After Diversity Monitoring is enabled, the Monitoring Officer will be able to see a new tab in the Employees Directory.
- This information can be filled in manually by the Monitoring Officer.
- If the applicant filled the Monitoring Form in Hire and was subsequently hired, the information on the form will be shown here.
- The Monitoring Officer has access to the Diversity reports in the Employees Reports section
