Dual Approval for Leave

An office can have Dual Manager Approval for leave types.

This is set at office level and applies to all employees in that office.

  • Log in as Admin or manager with settings permissions for that office.
  • Go to Settings on the black ribbon.
  • Select office settings-time off
  • Scroll down to Require dual approval for time off, and select the manager that you would like to be the 2nd Approver for that office

Please note- the 2nd Approver must have Time Off permissions for this office.

  • Now, when an employee in this office applies for leave, both their manager and the 2nd Approver, must approve the leave.
  • If only one of these managers approve the leave, the leave will remain in submitted status.
  • If the Admin or Time Off manager applies for leave on an employees behalf, it must still get approval from the 2nd approver.
  • If the 2nd approver is also their own holiday approver, they can approve their own leave.

Please note-before terminating the employment of a 2nd Approver, a new 2nd Approver must be assigned.
