Navigating the 'My Time On' Section in HRLocker

The 'My Time On' section in HRLocker is designed to help employees and managers efficiently manage timesheets. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you navigate through different tabs and functionalities within this section.

Default View and Navigation

  • Default Timesheet View: Upon accessing the 'My Time On' section, your view will default to your own current timesheet, which corresponds to the current date.

  • Navigating Weeks:

    • Next Week: Click 'Next Week' to view the upcoming timesheet.
    • Previous Week: Click 'Previous Week' to view the past timesheet.
    • Specific Date: To view a timesheet for a specific date, use the calendar input to enter your desired date.
  • Selecting Another Employee (for Managers):

    • If you are a manager, you can select another employee's timesheet by choosing their name from the dropdown menu located at the top right of the page.

Timesheet Status Tabs and Editing Permissions

Unsubmitted Tab

  • Overview: This tab shows any timesheets that have been saved but not yet submitted.
  • Editing Permissions for Clock-In Employees:
    • Employees: Employees who clock in/out cannot edit their own timesheets. 
    • Managers/Admins: Managers and admins can edit saved or submitted timesheets of employees who clock in/out. However, they cannot edit their own timesheets if they themselves use clock-in/out functionalities.

Awaiting Approval Tab

  • Overview: Contains timesheets that have been submitted but not yet approved.
  • Accessing and Editing Timesheets:
    • Initially, no results will be displayed for managers.
    • Press 'Show All' or use filters to view timesheets awaiting approval.
    • Managers/Admins can edit these submitted timesheets unless they pertain to their own clock-in/out records.

Archive Tab

  • Overview: Stores all the timesheets that have been approved.
  • Reactivating Approved Timesheets:
    • Approved timesheets cannot be directly edited. They must be reactivated by a manager/admin, which will set them back to an unsubmitted status for further editing.

Work Patterns Tab

  • Viewing Work Patterns: A tab called 'Work Patterns' allows employees and managers to view the work pattern assigned to them. This tab provides clarity on expected work hours.
  • Editing Work Patterns:
    • Managers with the necessary permissions and admins can change the work pattern assigned to an employee. This flexibility helps to accommodate changes in work schedules.
