      HRLocker Data Warehouse Solution

      If you need access to your data in a SQL server database, HRLocker can provide you a read only instance of your data for the purpose of reporting or integrating with 3rd party applications.

      What is the HRLocker Datawarehouse?

      The HRLocker Datawarehouse is a read-only database that mirrors the structure and content of your production HRLocker database. It provides a secure, up-to-date snapshot of your organization's HR data that can be used for various business needs. The database is hosted on Microsoft SQL Server in the Azure Cloud, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with industry standards.

      How to Access the HRLocker Datawarehouse

      To access the HRLocker Datawarehouse, you need to contact your HRLocker account manager or our Support team to request this service. Once your Datawarehouse is set up, you will need to provide us with a static IP address for whitelisting purposes. After whitelisting your IP, we will provide you with a connection string that you can use to access the database.

      What Does the HRLocker Datawarehouse Look Like?

      The HRLocker Datawarehouse is structured as an SQL Server database, mirroring the schema of your production HRLocker database. It includes all relevant tables from your HRLocker account, allowing for seamless integration with external tools. There is a reference table named HRLReferenceCube that serves as an index of each table in the database, providing clear guidance on what data is stored in each table.

      What is the HRLocker Datawarehouse Used For?

      The HRLocker Datawarehouse is a versatile tool that can be used in several ways:

      • Business Intelligence and Reporting: Integrate your HR data with third-party business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau. Create custom dashboards, generate detailed reports, and gain deeper insights into your HR processes.

      • Data Integration: Use the Datawarehouse to transfer data to third-party applications that are already integrated with Microsoft Azure services. This is particularly useful for organizations looking to leverage existing workflows or schedule automated reports. Note that the Datawarehouse only supports exporting data from HRLocker, not importing data back into the system.

      • Workflow Automation: The Datawarehouse can be used in conjunction with Azure services to trigger actions within workflows or schedule custom report generation.

      What Do You Need to Access the HRLocker Datawarehouse?

      To access and utilize the HRLocker Datawarehouse, your organization will need the following:

      • Static IP Address: Required for whitelisting to securely access the database.
      • Technical Expertise: Personnel with the necessary skills and permissions to handle sensitive HR data, including the ability to connect to Microsoft SQL Server cloud services and process the data for your organization.
      • Integration Capabilities: If you plan to use the Datawarehouse for integrations, ensure your systems can connect to Microsoft SQL Server cloud services.
