Moving offices with different annual leave start dates, HRDocs and CPD for employees moving office
At times, employees may need to move to a different office, whether it's from an onboarding location to their permanent office or simply relocating. Here's how to handle it efficiently:
-
Update Office in Directory Summary:
- Change the employee's office in their Directory Summary.
-
HRDoc Transfer:
- Signed HR documents move with the employee to the new office.
- Unsigned documents specific to the old office stay behind.
-
CPD Item Transfer:
- All CPD items assigned to the employee move with them to the new office.
-
Leave Year Check:
- If both the old and new offices share the same leave year, no further action is required regarding leave balance adjustments.
-
- If the new office shares the same leave year, no adjustments are needed.
- In case the new office operates on a different leave year, a pop-up notification will appear, prompting you to review the employee's annual leave.
-
- Review the employee's leave balance and requests to ensure accuracy.
-
Adjust Leave Settings:
- Access the employee's annual leave balance to review any potential discrepancies due to the change in leave year.
- Consider any leave already booked by the employee that may now span across different leave years.
- Adjust the leave settings accordingly to ensure accuracy and consistency with the new leave year.
- Manual Adjustments (if necessary):
-
- If additional adjustments are needed, such as correcting leave balances or aligning leave requests with the new leave year, you can make manual changes via the employee's time-off page.
