How Employees Can Request Their Own Training in HRLocker
HRLocker empowers employees to take charge of their professional development by enabling them to request Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training directly within the system. This functionality facilitates proactive learning and development within the organization. Here’s a guide on how employees can request their own training and how managers can manage these requests effectively.
Before employees can request their own training, ensure this feature is activated in your Office settings by an administrator.
Accessing the CPD Module

Log Into HRLocker:
- Employees need to use their credentials to sign into their HRLocker account.

Navigate to the CPD Section:
- Once logged in, navigate to the CPD section.
Requesting Training

Request My Own Training:
- If the setting has been enabled, employees will see an option to "Request my own training."

Selecting or Creating Training Course:
- Select Existing Training Course: Employees can choose from a list of pre-existing training courses. Selecting an existing course helps maintain consistency and avoids duplication.
- Request a New Training: If the suitable training is not available, employees can propose a new CPD item by detailing the training they require.
Managing Training Requests

Tracking Requests by Managers:
- Managers can track all training requests through a specific report within the CPD section titled "Download Training Requests." This report provides detailed information about all training requests made by employees.

Managing Requests Within CPD:
- Managers can view individual employee requests within the CPD module.
- They can approve or deny these requests based on the training's relevance and necessity.
- Upon approval, the training request can be added as a CPD item for the employee to complete. This item will then appear in the employee's CPD and they can update it once the training has been completed.
