Overview of the 'Time Off' permission for Managers

Time Off Permissions Overview

Time Off permissions in HRLocker provide managers with the ability to manage leave requests and adjustments for their team members. There are different levels of access and capabilities based on the permission settings.

Time Off Permission Settings:

  1. Off: Time Off functionality is disabled for the manager.

  2. On for Subordinates and Selected Employees Only:

    • Managers can access Time Off screens for their direct reports and selected employees.
  3. On for Selected Offices and Selected Employees Only:

    • Managers can access Time Off screens for employees assigned to selected offices and chosen employees.
    • Administrative access is granted for selected offices and employees, including direct reports.

Functionality:

  1. View Time Off Summary:

    • Managers can view the Time Off screen for selected employees, providing an overview of their leave status.
  2. Approve/Reject Holiday Requests:

    • Managers can approve or reject holiday requests for employees they have access to.
  3. Submit and Approve Holidays:

    • Managers can submit and approve holidays on behalf of their team members, with transparent recording of actions for reporting purposes.
  4. Manual Adjustments to Annual Leave:

    • Managers can make manual adjustments to annual leave for employees via the 'Manual Adjustments' screen in the 'My Time Off' section. However, they cannot make adjustments to their own annual leave.
  5. Management of Time Off in Lieu (TOIL):

    • Managers with Time Off permissions can manage Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) for eligible employees.
    • They can approve TOIL requests, make manual adjustments to TOIL balances, and view TOIL balances for eligible employees.
